Job DescriptionSummary: Responsible for supervision of all housekeeping, janitorial and laundry staff under the
direction of the Hospitality Director. Prepares work schedules and assignments, orders supplies and
oversees the cleanliness of the facility and ancillary buildings.
Qualifications: Must have SNF floor care experience.Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English. Must possess good organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks.
Education: High School/College Degree Preferred
Licenses/Certifications: None required
Experience Required: Previous health care and supervisory experience preferred.
Essential Functions:
- Supervision of all housekeeping, janitorial and laundry staff
- Prepares monthly work schedules for housekeeping, janitorial and laundry staff
- Training of new employees to facility policies, procedures, job assignments and safety
procedures - Prepares purchase orders for supplies needed and gets Administrator approval
- Places supply orders for housekeeping and laundry supplies monthly and as needed
- Receive supply orders, verify orders for accuracy and distribute supplies
- Monitor staff daily to ensure facility cleanliness
- Assist with stripping and waxing of floors per schedule and as needed.
- Order linen as needed, monitor linen inventory to assure that adequate linen is available at
all times for proper resident care - Assist with setting up AACL hall as requested for functions, and cleaning of the hall after
functions - Any other duties as assigned by the supervisor
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to communicate effectively with subordinates as well as all other departments
- Must have knowledge of regulations regarding chemical usage, proper storage and labeling
of chemicals and cleaning supplies. - Must have at least a basic knowledge of floor maintenance equipment and products.
