Lead Farm Mechanic

We are looking for a skilled and knowledgeable Equipment Manager in Hanford, CA, US. This role will involve overseeing and maintaining various types of machinery and vehicles, such as tractors, trucks, and farm equipment. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of diagnosing, repairing, and adjusting these machines. They will also be responsible for managing equipment, reading inspection reports, and locating and addressing any malfunctions. Additionally, the candidate should be proficient in testing and replacing electrical components and wiring. Strong organizational skills are crucial as the Equipment Manager will be in charge of scheduling maintenance and keeping accurate records using Microsoft Word and Excel. The successful candidate must be self-motivated and able to work well with others.Compensation:

$25 - $32 hourly

Responsibilities:

Keeping a Clean, Safe, and Organized Shop and Work Area

• Making sure tools and equipment are in their proper place. Keeping clean all shop area is safe and organized. Keeping an inventory of tools and equipment.

Repairing and Maintaining Mechanical Equipment

• Servicing, repairing, adjusting, and testing machines, devices, moving parts, and equipment that operate primarily on the basis of mechanical. complete overhaul and replacement of engines.

Making Decisions and Solving Problems

• Analyzing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems.

Inspecting Equipment, Structures, or Material

• Inspect equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects.

Managing Records and Purchase orders

• Filing records and keeping detailed equipment logs. Using Microsoft software for tracking.

Communicating with Supervisors, Peers, or Subordinates

• Providing information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person.

Repairing and Maintaining Electronic Equipment

• Servicing, repairing, calibrating, regulating, fine-tuning, or testing machines, devices, and equipment that operate primarily on the basis of electrical or electronic (not mechanical) principles.

Communicating with Persons Outside Organization

• Communicating with people outside the organization, representing the organization to customers, the public, government, and other external sources. This information can be exchanged in person, in writing, or by telephone or e-mail.

Interacting With Computers

• Using computers and computer systems (including hardware and software) to program, write software, set up functions, enter data, or process information.

Qualifications:

• Must have at least 5 years of minimum experience.
• Knowledge of diesel and gas motors and hydraulic systems.
• Experienced in Microsoft Office.
• Read and understand mechanical drawings, schematics, and sketches.
• Detail detail-orientated and a problem-solver.
• Complete parts order forms.
• Pick up and deliver equipment and parts.
• Mechanically inclined.
• Prior farm equipment experience.
• Maintain a variety of equipment and tools to ensure their safe operation.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Bilingual.
