Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee the operational activities of our coffee catering company. The Operations Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth execution of all operational processes, managing inventory, coordinating logistics, and optimizing efficiency across all departments.
Responsibilities:
Operational Management:
· Reports directly to CEO, overseeing all operations; works closely with the sales staff to ensure jobs are properly staffed, scheduled, and executed in accordance to event orders (BEOs).
· Develops and implements operational strategies to optimize workflow efficiency and maximize productivity; ensures standard operating procedures are in place.
· Oversees day-to-day operational activities, ensuring seamless coordination between departments including sales, warehouse, delivery, and customer service.
· Monitors and analyzes operational performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and implement solutions to enhance operational effectiveness.
· Manages operations budget and responsible for job cost reporting.
· Gains mastery in all things coffee catering, including but not limited to company organization, inventory, equipment, setup, strike, customer experience.
Logistics, Warehouse & Purchasing
· Manages the warehouse production of all inflowing and outflowing events.
· Coordinate logistics for equipment delivery, pick-up, and transportation to and from event venues.
· Schedules and assigns delivery routes to optimize efficiency and ensure timely delivery and pick-up of rental items.
· Collaborates with team to streamline storage, organization, and retrieval processes.
· Manages inventory levels and ensure accurate tracking of rental equipment, supplies, materials, and pars.
Quality Assurance:
· Ensure all rental equipment is properly inspected, cleaned, and maintained to meet quality standards before and after each event.
· Upkeeps, repairs, paints, and/or fixes all equipment and company assets, including but not limited to rentable bar cart inventory, coffee equipment, etc.
· Implements quality control procedures to uphold the company's reputation for providing high-quality rental products and services.
Team Leadership and Staffing:
· Manages a team of 5-7 employees including but not limited to Operations Coordinator, Event Leads, Production Manager, and Community Manager
· Scheduling Event Staff and Installation Crews.
· Provides leadership and guidance to operational staff, fostering a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
· Conducts regular performance evaluations, provide feedback, and identify training needs to support staff development and career growth.
Qualifications:
· Problem solver, doer, motivated by developing systems, processes, and efficiency.
· Proven experience in operations management, preferably in the event industry or related field.
· Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage and motivate teams.
· Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
· Proficient in Microsoft Excel and fast adopter of new technology, software, and apps.
· Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
