Lead Designer

Bandsintown is looking for a well-seasoned and highly versatile Design Lead to join our team. You will be responsible for all of Bandsintown’s design and creative needs and will manage a small design team.

Candidate should be in either California, Florida or New York and must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Responsibilities

• Design a wide range of creative deliverables including marketing assets, user interfaces, brand collateral, and beyond.
• Evolve and oversee the visual style and creative direction for Bandsintown's fan, artist, and pro platforms.
• Design, build, and manage email campaigns using Stripo.
• Design, build, and manage selected company websites and landing pages using Editor X.
• Create briefs, wireframes, and prototypes.
• Ensure organization of files, assets, and projects by managing Figma, Google Drive, and Asana.
• Make high-level design decisions to shape the company's current and future creative approaches and strategies.
• Implement and optimize processes to maintain consistent and timely output from the Creative team.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, marketing, development) to ensure cohesive and impactful visual communication.
• Proactively identify and resolve design problems.
• Manage a small two-person design team, conduct performance reviews, and provide creative feedback and guidance.
• Stay updated on industry trends, design techniques, and emerging technologies.

Qualifications

• 3+ years working as a design lead at an agency or in-house environment
• Must be a Figma master with extensive experience using auto-layout, components, and libraries
• Must have strong command of design layout, hierarchy, typography, and color theory
• Must have strong experience building and designing UI/UX systems for desktop and mobile applications
• Must have strong experience designing responsive web, translating marketing material to landing pages
• Experience working with advanced site builders such as Webflow/Editor X/Framer
• Experience with Photoshop and Illustrator
• Working knowledge of web development languages and best practices - HTML/CSS/JS
• Able to lead a small creative team efficiently and effectively towards a common objective
• Able to give clear direction, write briefs, assign tasks, and handle both receiving and delivering feedback
• Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines and deliverables are met
• Must be highly organized - this is key
• A genuine interest in music, concerts, and live events

• Ability to create animations/motion graphics using Illustrator + After Effects
• Traditional design background
