Lead Custodian Night

Summary: With supervision perform tasks required to meet the daily requirements as per custodial and grounds contract at WSMR.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

A: Job Specific:

1. Coach custodians with job related skill development through hands on, verbal cues, and instructional task analysis, focus on employee success and develop cohesive teamwork.
2. Communicate with the Custodian Supervisor on issues or concerns regarding custodial staff.
3. Transport Custodian to and from WSMR.
4. Provide recommendations and technical assistance for accommodation and/or adaptive equipment.
5. Provide employer/co-worker orientation and ongoing education as needed.
6. Responsible for daily, weekly, and monthly document reporting as required.
7. Perform janitorial duties per contract schedule, requirements, and standards to include:
   1. Clean/supply kitchens and break rooms
   2. Clean/supply restrooms
   3. Clean drinking fountains
   4. Clean and disinfect toilets
   5. De-scaling
   6. Remove office trash
   7. Sweep floors
   8. Vacuum cleaning
   9. Spot cleaning
   10. Spray/buss floors
   11. Wet mop floors
   12. Interior window cleaning
8. Accept and implement special projects as assigned by supervisor.

1. Ability to read, write, speak and comprehend the English language.
2. Ability to work under stressful situations.
3. Possess active listening skills.
4. Ability to assess problems and take action.
5. Ability to work independently and in a team setting.
6. Ability to secure and maintain a NACI clearance (Federal Background Check).

Qualifications:

Education: High School Diploma or GED

Experience: 6-months experience working in the janitorial field

Rate of Pay: $17.54/per hour

Hours: Monday-Friday 6:30pm-3:00am
