Job description

We at Medical Essential Providers are a rapidly growing healthcare provider for all frontline workers in the state of New York. We take pride in our frontliners and want to give them as many opportunities as possible to be in their peak physical condition while they are serving our communities. We perform comprehensive, confidential testing and examinations for frontline workers insured under the state as well as their family members at no out of pocket cost.

Responsibilities on Clinic Days:

  • Conducting various tests on patients as required by the clinic, including phlebotomy, EKG, ABI, PFT, ECG Stress Test, WatchPat One Sleep studies, and Eyes/Ears examinations.
  • Managing the flow of patients through the clinic, ensuring effective and efficient movement during testing.
  • Communicating proficiently with healthcare providers and clinical staff.
  • Ensuring accurate completion of paperwork and documentation as patients enter the workflow.
  • Taking charge of the front desk when necessary or in the absence of staff.
  • Occasionally traveling to other clinic locations within an hour of the Princeton clinic to cover absences or fulfill staffing needs.

Manager Responsibilities

Clinical Staff

  • Ensure all Staff members are following expected expectations/protocols
  • Expectations/protocols can be provided by HR, if anything is changed for some reason you will also be notified accordingly.

○ Report Call Outs/No Shows/ Time Off to HR in Headquarters

○ Handle interpersonal issues with clinic staff —--> collaborate with HR to escalate issues, if necessary.

Inventory

  • Weekly inventory checks per room
  • Contact Preferred Manufacture to Order
  • Coordinate with Staff for Ordering
  • Track Deliveries
  • Remain within budget when ordering inventory
  • The accounting Department has created a budget in place, any questions or concerns should be directed to them
  • Communicate with all third party vendors

○ Ensure all third party vendors are doing their part / providing the correct and more efficient supplies/services. These consist of the following:

■ Machinery

■ Inventory

■ Lab

■ One Pacs System / Cardiologist

■ EMR

Monthly Schedules

  • Send out monthly schedules to all staff members within the Clinic.
  • Please note: the clinic is currently only opened on Thursdays but once we add an additional day it is important the clinical staff received a monthly schedule

Operations

● Establish and Implement effective workplace procedures

○ Managing the patient flow in the clinic

○ Coordinating employee breaks

○ Weekly Meetings among staff (Weekly)

○ Performance Reviews (Quarterly)

○ Clinical Protocols

■ We will abide by Sunrise protocols

○ Reporting Systems

○ HIPAA/OSHA Compliance

  • Identify, analyze, and resolve operational problem

○ Develop processes to maximize office resources and equipment

○ Anticipate the needs of patients and providers as they arise

○ Coordinate with the Inhouse Executive Team to implement strategic long- and short-range plans to ensure that the best possible services are available to patients.

● Supervise daily practice operations

○ Appointments scheduled

○ Follow-ups

○ Ensure appointments are confirmed for the upcoming days (24 hours in advance) ○ Spot check work of receptionists and techs to ensure accuracy and attention to detail.

● Ensure policies and best practices are up to industry standards and government regulations.

○ Ensure the clinic is always clean and organized and that all machinery and furniture are in good working condition at all times

● Represent the practice and interact with regulatory agencies

○ Third Parties

○ Other professional and community groups, as necessary.

● EMR Training/Implementation

○ Ensure all Staff has the best knowledge possible with our EMR ○ Make sure it is being used correctly/parallel with actual clinical practice

● Patient relations

○ Interact with patients to ensure they have best care/experience possible ○ Provide Feedback form when PT is leaving clinic

○ Address any complaints, as necessary

Administrative Responsibilities on Admin Days:

  • Conducting quality control for follow-up procedures.
  • Ensuring all patients receive follow-up appointments and results simultaneously.
  • Monitoring follow-up appointments to occur within a maximum of two weeks after the initial appointment, investigating delays if they occur and ensuring they are not due to internal issues.
  • Supervising the follow-up outreach process and documenting outreach attempts to minimize the risk of overlooking patient callbacks.
  • Ensuring prompt and efficient answering of phones.
  • Providing necessary training to staff members on various tests.
  • Patient Billing
  • Stress Test Billing
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Active CMA certification
  • Active CPR/BLS certification
  • Minimum 2 years experience with MA
  • Minimum 2 years management experience
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Billing experience
  • Bachelor's Degree

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
