Equitable is looking for a dynamic Lead Business Project Manager, Life Strategy to join our team. This role is vital to the successful execution of the ongoing Life Strategy overseeing end-to-end orchestration of key initiatives sponsored by our Area Leads (Product, New Business, Underwriting, Sales Experience & Distribution). You will significantly leverage Life business acumen combined with project management knowledge and practical experience to effectively guide teams to drive meaningful Life outcomes. There is accountability for leading the successful delivery of multiple moderately complex projects according to measures of time, budget, scope & quality, partnering with other key stakeholders to attain the business goals and objectives, generate solutions to business issues and then plans/implements those solutions. You will focus on promoting our New Ways of Working (NWOW) framework and tools within the team.
Key Job Responsibilities
  • Lead multiple cross-functional teams to achieve project goals with an emphasis on quality, on-time, and on-budget delivery
  • Plan, lead, guide, document and execute project execution routines
  • Maintain, manage, and report on project plans for schedule, scope, resources
  • Ensure project objectives conform to enterprise goals, and technology and operational standards
  • Negotiate and set commitments and expectations through collaboration with partners across the enterprise
  • Proactively identify, mitigate, and resolve complex risks and issues

The base salary range for this position is $85,000-$127,000. Actual base salaries vary based on skills, experience, and geographical location. In addition to base pay, Equitable provides compensation to reward performance with base salary increases, spot bonuses, and short-term incentive compensation opportunities. Eligibility for these programs depends on level and functional area of responsibility.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
•2+ years hands on work experience in Individual Life Insurance or Financial Services
•5+ years Project Management experience including management of cross-functional project teams
•Bachelor's degree or equivalent in business, finance, information systems or another relevant field of study
Preferred Qualifications
•PMI/PMP Certification
•Lean/Six Sigma Certification
•Proven team leadership skills with ability to develop and mature teams to achieve their high potential through coaching and influence
•People skills with ability to work with diverse personality types
•Able to build and nurture relationships in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment
•Communications skills with ability to express ideas at all levels of the organization
•Self-starter with ability to initiate work and complete independently
•Analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail
•Experience with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, TFS, Visio, and SharePoint

Project Administration: Knowledge of project administration best practices and ability to use organizational strategies, practices and tools for administering projects.
