Job Description
This is a full-time position with a schedule of Monday-Friday, 8 hour shifts. The pay is $16.50 per hour depending upon experience and qualifications. This position is onsite at our center located: 1555 Americana Blvd, Orlando FL, 32839.
The Lead 3-Year-Old Teacher develops a cohesive teaching team, coordinates the curriculum, and manages the day-to-day operational activities of the classroom while implementing a curriculum that is appropriate for 3-year-olds. The teacher in this role should be high energy and able to work well with staff, students, and parents. You’ll have the opportunity to be a serve as a model and mentor, leader in the classroom, champion a team environment, and provide fun-filled learning opportunities while making a positive impact on the lives of our children.
What You’ll Do:
- Manage adherence to quality standards in accordance with both center’s vision and state and local/state requirements
- Maintain personal professional development plan to ensure continuous quality improvement
- Develop a careful and creative program suitable for younger preschool children
- Encourage children to develop a community-spirited classroom through sharing, caring and self-regulation
- Develop a well-balanced schedule of activities including learning, playing, diapering/potty training, eating, and napping
What We Need from You:
- Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field of study
- 45 DCF hours required; CDA preferred
- Minimum of 1 -2 years of professional early childhood education or experience
- Must clear a full level II DCF background check
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, oral and written communication skills, and basic computer skills
- Strong understanding of children's cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development to ensure a safe and stimulating classroom environment where students are engaged and encouraged to succeed
- Effective in communicating with both students and adults to meet the needs of the children, effectively guide teacher assistants, and resolve parental concerns
- Demonstrate empathy and patience in difficult situations while being Cheerful, enthusiastic, and engaging in the workplace
