Seeking an Associate Attorney to handle all aspects of cases, including, but not limited to, preparation of complaint, discovery, law and motion, as well as trial preparation.

Roles and Responsibilities
Your duties will include
- Draft and serve all government claims
- Draft and file lawsuits
- Draft/propound/respond to all discovery for the firm
- Draft/motion/oppose all law and motion for all cases within our firm
- Calendar and maintain STATUTE CALENDAR for the firm
- Calendar and maintain DISCOVERY/LITIGATION CALENDAR for the firm
- Discuss case strategy with experts
- Take and defend depositions
- Attend mediations and draft mediation briefs
- Meet and confer with defense counsel
- Attend State and Federal court hearings as required
- Assist lead Trial Attorney with maintenance of heavy caseload ensuring all cases move forward in a timely manner and within deadlines
- Negotiate settlements and settle cases
- Initial and ongoing client contact
- Scheduling visits with experts
- Preparing documents to submit to supervising lawyer
- Providing overall quality client care
- Work with trial attorneys on motions in limine
- Argue motions and oppositions to judges
Your Skills:
- Licensed and in good standing with the California State Bar
- Superior writing skills
- Ability to quickly identify relevant authority
- Proficiency with the Code of Civil Procedure and Evidence Code
- Superior analytical and legal research skills
- Ability to identify key facts from discovery, deposition transcripts, and other records and apply them to relevant case law
- Proven track record of successfully supporting and opposing dispositive motions
- Ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment
- Reliably commute to or planning to relocate to Torrance

Pay: $120,000.00 - $180,000.00 per year
