8350 Laundry The
Laundry Worker is responsible to provide clean and sanitary linen for all facilities within Kaweah Health. License /Certification Required:N/A Preferred:N/A Education Required:N/A Preferred:N/A Testing
Must pass the Physical Capacity Exam (PCE). This exam includes a 50-pound lifting requirement.
Experience Required:N/A Preferred:N/A Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Must be able to speak/read/write in English to adequately follow written instructions and communicate with others as needed. Must possess needed stamina to maintain continuous physical movement throughout the shift and strength to push/pull heavy loads. Department Specific Requirements N/A Essential Collects soiled linen and sorts according to procedure. Loads and unloads washers and dryers. Cleans laundry areas and empties trash as needed. Laundry carts kept clean. Runs linens through the mangle following safe operational instructions. Folds dry linen manually. Stocks clean linen carts following established guidelines. Assists in assembling designated linen order for offsite facilities. Addendum (essential for specific dept) Additional Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care and services appropriate to the population served on the assigned unit or work area. Performs other duties as assigned.
