Laundry Attendant

Job Summary: The Hotel Laundry Attendant is responsible for ensuring that all hotel linens, towels, and uniforms are laundered, cleaned, and properly stored. The Attendant will ensure that laundry is completed in a timely and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities:

· Sort, wash, dry, and fold hotel linens, towels, and uniforms.

· Inspect items for stains, tears, or other damage, and report any issues to management.

· Operate laundry equipment, such as washing machines, dryers, and ironing machines, following safety and operating procedures.

· Monitor and maintain inventory levels of laundry supplies, such as detergent and fabric softener, and notify the Laundry Supervisor when supplies are running low.

· Store laundered items in designated areas, ensuring that they are properly labeled and organized.

· Follow safety and sanitation protocols, including proper handling and storage of laundry chemicals and waste.

· Maintain a clean and organized work area, including laundry equipment, carts, and closets.

· Assist with other laundry duties as assigned by management

Requirements:

· High school diploma or equivalent.

· Minimum of 1 year of experience in laundry or a related field.

· Knowledge of proper laundry techniques, including the use of detergents and fabric softeners.

· Strong attention to detail, with the ability to identify and address stains, tears, or other damage to laundry items.

· Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines.

· Basic communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with guests and other hotel employees.

· Physical ability to stand for long periods of time, lift up to 50 pounds, and work with laundry equipment.

· Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays, as required.

· Knowledge of proper use and care of laundry equipment, such as washing machines and dryers

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour
