JOB SUMMARY
The Laser Operator I is responsible for operating the laser machines and learning how to make required adjustments to machinery to compensate for material tooling, machine, or program conditions.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
- At least 1 year of experience using hand and power tools in a manufacturing environment
- Must be able to carry up to 50 lbs
- Laser machine experience
- Communication and problem-solving skills
- Dependable
- Willingness to learn
- Forklift certification
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Pallet jack experience preferred
- Operate multiple laser machines simultaneously
- Check daily schedule and maintain workload
- Quality checks throughout processes
- Maintain serial number logs and cleaning logs daily
- Accurately fill out depth chart
- Maintain machine cleanliness
- Remove existing stickers and check box for imperfections and sturdy divider
- Verify the serial number on lowers to paperwork and box label
- After a scrap or duplicate has been identified and serialized, immediately hand over to ATF Compliance
- Ensure completed carts are properly staged in the tool room
- Conduct shift-change brief
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor
- 2nd Shift
- Monday through Thursday, 2:45 p.m. – 1:15 a.m.
- Friday OT if needed
