Job Description
SUMMARY: The Maintenance Technician is responsible for completing building/property maintenance and repair and performing unit make-ready duties on multifamily residential buildings. The position reports to the property manager.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Complete duties on make-ready checklist:
1. Service appliances, plumbing and electrical fixtures.
2. Repair or replace old and faulty parts.
3. Re-key locks.
4. Replace burned out light bulbs and globes.
5. Interior painting
Other:
1. Assists in maintaining inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies.
2. Picks up trash on property.
3. Reports all needed repairs to Maintenance Foreman.
4. Assists with other types of maintenance when necessary.
5. Attends all instructional classes conducted by management. Performs other duties as assigned.
6. Is on call for emergency maintenance.
QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this role successfully, an individual must be able to perform all essential functions satisfactorily. The requirements define the knowledge, skill, and/or ability necessary to perform the essential functions.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: High school education and/or technical skills training or experience in multifamily residential building maintenance preferred.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: Working knowledge of basic maintenance tools required to perform the job duties.
