Larchmont Golf Course Groundskeeper

This is a seasonal 32 - 40 hour per week opportunity with many benefits! As a Missoula County employee, you will be part of a team that is committed to positively impacting the community. The base rate of pay for this position is $17.43 per hour.
Larchmont gold course is seeking a GOLF COURSE GROUNDSKEEPER to join their team. This position under the direction of the Golf Course Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent, the groundskeeper will help perform all aspects of maintenance on the Golf Course. All work is in accordance with the essential duties and requirements described below.

• Maintains and cuts grass on tees, fairways, greens and rough.
• Maintains bunkers including raking, edging and trimming.
• Responsible for cleaning their equipment at the end of their shift.
• Will assist with sodding a trimming around buildings, trees and other obstacles.
• Uses equipment such as riding greens mowers, fairway mowers, rough mowers, bunker rake, backpack blowers, weed eater, carts and hand tools.
• Participates in required training and meetings.
• Some occasional janitorial duties in restrooms on the course.
• Has basic understanding regarding different areas of the Golf Course and rules
• Will help prepare beds for spring planting and fall cleanup.
• Involved in daily course setup of the Golf Course, including moving tee markers, cutting cups, filling ball washers, filling divots and filling water coolers.
• Must be able to work in inclement weather conditions
• May be required to pick golf balls on the driving range when needed.

Requires high school graduation or GED. Work is performed in an office and outdoor setting and physical activity may be performed on the Larchmont course. Requires frequent walking, stooping, bending, climbing of stairs and lifting of moderate to very heavy objects. Seasonally involves long hours outside of the normal business week. Involves assistance in technology operation; frequent walking on rough and uneven terrain, climbing stairs; exposure to rural "out building" environment; and some exposure to inclement weather.
