Landscaper/ Groundskeeper

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Groundskeeper to join our team in Oceanside! As a Groundskeeper, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the appearance and functionality of our facility grounds and greens. Compensation: $18-20/hr depending on experience

Qualifications

• Perform regular landscape maintenance tasks such as mowing, edging, and weeding
• Plant and maintain flowers, shrubs, and trees
• Irrigate lawns and gardens to ensure proper hydration
• Use hand tools such as rakes, shovels, and pruning shears to maintain the grounds
• Operate power tools such as trimmers, blowers, and lawn mowers
• Remove debris and litter from outdoor areas
• Assist with the installation of new landscaping features
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of equipment and storage areas

Requirements for this position

To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills:

• Minimum of at least 1 year of landscape experience (Golf Course Greens is highly preferred) + strong knowledge of landscape maintenance techniques and practices
• Ability to operate power tools and hand tools for groundskeeping effectively and safely; lawn mowers, and moving equipment
• Attention to detail to ensure the grounds are well-maintained and ability to mow in straight lines
• Physical stamina to perform tasks that require bending, lifting (up to 50lbs), and standing for extended periods
• Excellent time management skills to complete tasks efficiently
• Must have ability to work early hours and potentially on holidays or weekends as needed
• Must posses a valid Drivers License + clean driving record
• Must be friendly, confident, exercise good judgment, ability to communicate effectively with high-end clients/ visitors, management & peers, and ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Must be self-motivated with the ability to follow direction and complete tasks on schedule

Responsibilities

• Maintains hardscape, plant material, facility grounds greens, and parking lot to Company standards
• Operates equipment and uses all tools related to landscape grounds greens and general maintenance to keep facilities continually looking their best; hand tools, power tools, and moving equipment
• Plants and tends flowerbeds, trees and shrubs, trims, mows lawns, applies fertilizer and may utilize pesticides and pest control equipment
• Assists with golf ball picking, cleaning and sorting
• Assists in general facility set up for special events
• Other duties as assigned
