Job Description
Performs responsible paraprofessional work opening, closing, and monitoring facility operations and assisting with and supervising activities; does related work as required. Duties are performed under regular supervision.
The hiring range for this position is from $14.68/hour to $19.82/hour based on experience.
The full range for this position is from $14.68/hour to $24.96/hour to provide opportunity for growth and development.
Examples of Duties
- Preparing facilities for use; overseeing facility operations; monitoring activities and enforcing rules;
- Opens and closes public facilities;
- Sets up facilities; prepares supplies and equipment;
- Assists with scheduling of facilities;
- Supervises the conduct of a variety of activities;
- Enforces standards of discipline and conduct by customers and participants;
- Assists in the organizing and preparation of activities;
- Maintains stores and inventories of equipment, materials and supplies;
- Provides information to the public regarding operational rules and activities;
- Performs related tasks as required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Some knowledge of the methods and practices of community activities including knowledge of the equipment and techniques, relevant rules, and regulations of programs for participants and customers; ability to instruct and assist customers and participants regarding the activities being supervised; ability to establish effective working relationships with other workers, program participants, and the general public; ability to enforce rules and regulations and maintain discipline.
Education and Experience
Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school and some experience in working with the public.
