Land Surveyor

Summary:

Seeking licensed Land Surveyors (experienced, newly licensed, or almost licensed) to join our successful survey department to contribute to the maintenance, growth, and development of existing and new clients. Positions will be at a management level with opportunities for growth as a partner. It is not expected that the candidates will know the intricacies of the various types of surveys we perform but knowledge of the software, equipment and deliverables is needed to provide estimates and oversight of staff as required. We are currently working on setting company -wide goals and are looking for a Survey partnership transition for 2 survey partners. Responsibilities:

As part of an Engineering Architectural and Land Surveying firm, we are a multi-disciplined survey department responding to private clients, municipal clients, and governmental agencies for surveys of all types and sizes from 50 x 100 title surveys to 13-mile Route surveys for roadway reconstruction/ infrastructure. Our survey expanse covers all of Long Island, New York City's five boroughs, Westchester, Putnam, Rockland, Orange, and Dutchess County. Our affiliate, Voorhees, anchors the environmental assessments, planning and land use group defining wetlands, drilling and borings, in Long Island and the Hudson Valley.

For day-to-day surveying, we use Robotic Total Stations, 1" and 3"; Digital Levels with Invar Rod, GPS in Static and RTK mode depending on accuracy for the job, Terrestrial LiDAR scanning for exterior and interior BIM surveys, and UAS Drone/aerial photogrammetry for topography. The survey team supports our Site/Civil, Traffic/Highway, Architecture, Mechanical/Electrical, Water and Wastewater groups as well as our own survey contracts. We perform boundary, topo, construction layout, final as-built, up to and including final monumentation of subdivisions as well as layout of high-rise buildings, multifamily developments, single family home developments, infrastructure including gravity sewer/force mains and water mains.

We have a dedicated team of managers, technicians, and CADD drafters who support the goal of the group. We train in all aspects and retrain as technology advances.
