Cabot Citrus Farms

Cabot’s first U.S. destination, Cabot Citrus Farms, is situated on 1,200 acres of rolling land and will include Cabot’s signature combination of world-class golf, luxury accommodations and real estate opportunities. Opening in 2023, Cabot Citrus Farms will feature two revitalized 18-hole courses, an 11-hole par-3 course, an unconventional 10-hole course, a new clubhouse and extensive practice facilities. The property is a short 50-minute drive from Tampa and an 80-minute drive from Orlando. While close to urban amenities, the property sits in the central-west region of Florida aptly known as the Nature Coast. Visitors will delight in one-of-a-kind experiences including exceptional hiking, biking and nature trails at neighboring Withlacoochee State Forest, spring-fed rivers and bountiful lakes at Crystal River, and world-class fishing in the Gulf of Mexico.

Position Overview

As a Land Development Project Manager, you are a key member of our Cabot Citrus Farms team and will be instrumental in building on Cabot’s legacy of world-leading golf destinations. You will report directly to the Cabot Citrus Farms Director of Development. This exciting fast-paced role will appeal to your exceptional work ethic, entrepreneurial spirit, and passion for variety. You will lead the planning, design, development, and horizontal construction for the future phases of Cabot’s transformational development. You are a dynamic problem solver, innovator, and leader interested in taking on tasks outside of key responsibilities. Profile Overview

Reporting to the Cabot Citrus Farms Director of Development, the Land Development Project Manager displays a high level of integrity, accuracy, dependability, and enthusiasm. The Land Development Project Manager will supervise and lead a growing team of expert consultants and contractors through the Land Development process. They will possess a supportive and energetic personality. Flexibility with a can-do attitude that leads to accomplishing tasks and goals will be a key attribute of this role. The Land Development Project Manager will play a pivotal role in transforming a vision into reality, overseeing every aspect of the Land Development process from initial planning to project completion.

Core accountabilities

  • Develop comprehensive project plans outlining key milestones, timelines, and resource requirements
  • Collaborate with planners, architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure cohesive communication and achievement of the Cabot Citrus Farms vision
  • Conduct thorough due diligence, including feasibility studies, environmental assessments, and zoning analyses to ensure compliance with local regulations and project objectives
  • Foster positive relationships with local authorities, regulatory agencies, and community stakeholders
  • Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring proper project cost accounting, and employing cost-effective strategies
  • Implement rigorous cost control measures to optimize resource allocation and ensure return on investment targets are achieved
  • Standardize, negotiate, and ensure adherence to contracts with consultants and contractors
  • Oversee further development of the master plan, ensuring it aligns with the overall project vision and meets the highest standards of luxury and functionality
  • Establish and enforce rigorous quality control measures throughout the development process to maintain the highest standards of construction and craftsmanship
  • Manage the implementation of essential infrastructure, including roads, utilities, and landscaping, in accordance with project specifications and regulatory requirements
  • Coordinate with utility providers to integrate their requirements into civil designs, and ensure construction scopes and schedules are coordinated with utility installation teams
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with design specifications and project requirements
  • Foster a relationship of respect while managing contractors to ensure project cost, quality, and schedule expectations are achieved

Qualifications

  • 5 years of relevant Land Development experience, including construction phase oversight
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, Real Estate Development, Construction Management, or a related field
  • Previous exposure to high-end luxury resort or master-planned community projects
  • Financial acumen and budget management expertise
  • Exceptional project management and leadership skills, with the ability to manage diverse teams and stakeholders effectively
  • Familiarity with the latest technologies and trends in Land Development and luxury resort design
