Land Development Manager

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

•  Manages, maintains, and monitors the beginning and finalizing of the development of quality multi-family dwelling,
• Directs land activities at large Master Plan or multiple smaller projects over a large geographic area,
• Supervises all phases of construction and manages all personnel as well as subcontractors to meet deadlines,
• Prepares plan schedules and specifications for all contractors,
• Oversees and manages development activities including grading, sewer, water, storm drains, streets, retaining walls, utilities, fencing, and slope landscape,
• Manages and maintains quality checkpoints according to the development schedule ,
• Maintains effective communication with the Project Manager and all business partners,
• Verifies job-specific invoices,
• Prepares and manages budgets,

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Land Development management,
• Minimum of 2 years in a supervisory role Value Engineering and knowledge of the local market for contracting manpower, pricing, and entitlements,
• Excellent communication skills, ability to improvise, adapt, and overcome obstacles,
• Ability to work independently and within a team,
• Prompt and regular attendance,
• Maintain a positive attitude,

 EDUCATION AND SKILLS:

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred,
• Proficiency in Microsoft applications including Outlook, Project, Excel, and Word,
• Ability to read blueprints,

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Standing and sitting throughout shift with occasional bending and lifting,
• Occasional lifting of 10-15 pounds with assistance if necessary,
