Mount Materials opened their recycling facility in January 2010. The operation sits on thirty acres in the Keystone Industrial Port Complex in Fairless Hills, PA. Mount Materials is a full-service recycling operation taking in concrete, asphalt, fill material and any class B materials produced by our customer base. Mount Materials is a fully permitted, fully-approved facility producing state certified Penn Dot No C2A aggregate and NJ DOT DGA certified material.
Heavy Equipment Operator
We are seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator that has a mechanical background to join our recycling facility team in Morrisville, PA.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
- Operating yard equipment (Excavator, Frontend Loader, Dozer) in accordance with safety procedures, to process recycling, move material, and load dump trucks
- Record data, report equipment malfunctions or trends which indicate possible trouble and perform actions as directed to correct abnormal operating conditions or emergency situations.
- Preventive maintenance tasks; assist with and perform equipment repair work, residue removal, and MSW handling on the tipping floor, perform painting, cleanup work
- Become familiar with the plant and the use and care of tools, equipment and material associated with the Residue and MSW loading Systems
- Adhere to all safety regulations and Personal Protection equipment requirements
- Comply with OSHA and MSHA standards
Qualification/requirements:
- HS Diploma/GED is required.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience operating Frontend Loader, Excavator, and Dozer
- Experience filling dump trucks and recycling facility equipment
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Able to climb ladders and work in overhead positions requiring harness and safety line
- Mechanical aptitude to use tools for repairs and maintenance
- Self-motivated and detail oriented
- Ability to drive a tractor trailer or operate and maintain a crusher is a plus
