Shift - 8am to 5pm (M-F)

Roles and responsibilities -
Performs a variety of routine laboratory operations in a quality assurance or research setting.
Duties usually consist of making measurements, performing several routine quantitative and qualitative biological or chemical analytical tests according to standard procedures.
Assists higher level technicians in setup of laboratory equipment and in recording data for experiments and procedures.
Requires knowledge in using various instruments to prepare for and perform tests. Performs routine and safety program checks and preventive maintenance on instruments.
The lab works with auto parts and paints and is the testing pre-approver for the changes with their vendors.
This individual will be assisting the lab with daily tasks including general lab support and department maintenance.
The lab support would include filling tanks, ensuring the systems are emitting accurate fog, signing in packages, labeling, recording pH levels, taking temperatures, etc. Once the lab is caught up, there would be opportunity to work on some entry-level testing including fluid testing, auto parts/panel testing, etc.
Requirements:
Education - Candidates with a degree in environmental sciences, biology, etc .
Experience - Recent grad with internship experience or experience in roles such as quality control, lab, testing, etc.
Must be detailed-oriented, a team player, and a good communicator (verbally and written).

Pay Details: $20.00 to $21.00 per hour
