Job Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity for a quality lab technician at our growing facility in Grand Prairie, TX. Dallas Airfoil Repair Operations, a recognized leader in refurbishment of aero-engine and Industrial Gas Turbine airfoils, is looking for dedicated individuals to support our organization. This position is available on first shift (6:00 a.m. - 2:30 pm)
Key Responsibilities:

• Under the general supervision of Quality Engineer / Quality Manager, person in this position provides metallurgical laboratory services to meet the needs of the lab
• Ensures to follow provided instructions for sample preparation, analysis, metallurgical testing and reporting.
• Uses metal slicing saw machines, ovens, sample mounting, metal polishers, use of microscopes, etc.
• Reads procedures, blueprints, sample layouts and prepares reports as needed
• Manages smooth flow of the lab testing.
• Assists Lab Technicians
• Ensures company policies and procedures are complied with and understood.
• Maintains a clean and organized workplace

Basic Qualifications:

• HS Diploma or Equivalent
• U.S. Person or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required.
• 3 months experience in manufacturing

Preferred Qualifications:

• 3 months experience working in a laboratory.

Additional Information:

• Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident "Green Card" holder
• Pratt & Whitney Grand Prairie, TX, is a FAA regulated facility and as such under the U.S. Departments of Transportation's Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). This position is considered safety sensitive in accordance with FAA Guidelines. Candidate will be subject to drug and alcohol testing as a pre-employment contingency and also subject to ongoing random testing as an employee per FAA's regulation 14 CFR part 120, as well as 49 CFR part 40.
