The Laboratory Support Technician is responsible for management of all incoming deliveries to BioAgilytix, including but not limited to receiving all deliveries from vendors and ensuring packages are delivered to appropriate individuals. Additionally, the Laboratory Support Technician is responsible for monitoring and stocking lab consumables and notifying the appropriate person when supplies and reagents need to be ordered.
Essential Responsibilities
- Serves as receiving department for BAL. Manage receiving/deliveries by outside shipping vendors daily. Use NetSuite purchasing software to ensure that packages are delivered to the appropriate individuals at BAL.
- Serves as a liaison between shipping vendors and BAL for proper shipping of materials.
- Responsible for maintaining and stocking laboratory supplies, as needed.
- Consolidates boxes and Styrofoam for discard/recycle.
- Assists in maintaining a high level of housekeeping within the laboratories.
- Stores clean glassware, wash dirty glassware if needed.
- Checks for expired reagents and consumables.
- Helps with set up of general lab equipment
- Gathers lab coats every week for cleaner; separates coats when returned.
- Assists with furniture assembly, ad hoc projects as needed.
- Assists with the set up and take down of various areas for company meetings, town halls, etc

Minimum Preferred Qualifications: Education/Experience
- High school diploma and 1 year experience in a shipping, receiving, or similar environment.
- Experience in a laboratory environment or related experience a plus, preferably in a GLP, GMP, or regulated facility

- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately
- Well organized with ability to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously; ability to work effectively to meet deadlines
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
- This is a full-time position
- Some flexibility in hours is allowed, but the employee must be available during the “core” work hours as published in the BioAgilytix Employee Handbook
- Occasional weekend, holiday, and evening work required
