Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Laboratory Assistant to join our team. As a Laboratory Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting laboratory operations and ensuring accurate and efficient testing procedures. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong background in laboratory techniques and a passion for scientific research.
Certs REQ: Washington State MA-P is required
Responsibilities:
- Perform various laboratory tasks under the supervision of senior staff members
- Conduct ELISA assays and other laboratory tests as required
- Collect, process, and prepare specimens for analysis
- Assist with blood sampling and venipuncture procedures
- Conduct RNA extraction and other molecular biology techniques
- Maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring cleanliness and functionality
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Assist with data management, including recording and organizing test results
- Participate in clinical trials and research studies as needed
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, or related field preferred
- Strong knowledge of laboratory techniques and procedures
- Proficiency in ELISA assays, RNA extraction, and other molecular biology techniques
- Experience with blood sampling and venipuncture procedures
- Familiarity with anatomy and specimen collection processing
- Knowledge of CT scanning technology is a plus
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Strong problem-solving abilities and critical thinking skills
