Responsibilities:
- Measure materials using measurement tools and gauges (calipers, height gauge, rulers, pin gauges, etc.) and generate inspection records.
- Verify information for accuracy.
- Ensure that Client's Good Documentation Practices (GDP) are followed.
- Sample and inspect raw materials, sub-assemblies, and final products for conformance to approved specifications.
- Perform and/or assist in First Article Inspections (FAI), Engineering Evaluations, and Defect Analyses.
- Experience with enterprise software; SAP experience strongly desired.
- Assist in managing activities regarding the disposition of non-conforming materials through Quality Notifications (QN); such as generating, routing, recording and the usage decision into SAP.
- Assist in the execution of Equipment Validations (IQ/OQ) and Test Method Validations (TMV) as an operator.
- Assure compliance to the Quality Management System (QMS).
- Able to learn quickly and work with minimal supervision.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- High School diploma required or previous experience.
- IPC-A-610 Specialist Certification desirable.
- Knowledge in GD&T
- One or more years of experience working as engineering technician or receiving inspector.
- Knowledge in measuring equipment such as calipers, optical comparators, CMMs, height gauges, etc.
- Knowledge in SAP.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of GMP/SOP/Work Instructions and be able to develop techniques to ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Ability to work well with others and direct their work activities as required.
- Good analytical skills.
- The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud.
- The position will almost always have exposure to work near moving mechanical equipment, pushing transport carts for parts sampling.
- May be required to work a flexible schedule.
