NEXA is searching for:
A Laboratory Analytical Equipment Specialist (Contractor) to support our client in Durham, NC with authoring procedures for laboratory equipment for a duration of 6 months. You will work on-site with one of our new, leading Life-Science clients and will report directly to NEXA’s Project Manager.
About the job:
- Author instrument procedures for Group B (i.e. basic systems that produce data like balances, ph. meters, pipettes) and Group C (i.e. fully computerized systems like UPLCs, DNA sequencers, etc.) Analytical Equipment.
- Author document templates to guide the creation of future equipment procedures and forms.
- Update equipment maintenance system to include information required per client standards.
- Work with vendor and schedule equipment qualifications for systems that need remediation work.
- Formally categorize equipment per client standards.

We are looking for people with:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Engineering, Science, or Computer Science.
- 3-5 years of experience as a system owner for lab equipment.
- Experience in project management.
- Technical writing experience.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, enabling professional interaction with clients, staff, and management.
- Proficiency in Good Laboratory/Documentation/Manufacturing Practices (GLP/GDP/GMP).
- Capability to excel in a fast-paced environment while supporting multiple and evolving priorities.
- Outstanding verbal communication and technical writing skills with impeccable attention to detail.
- Familiarity with FDA regulations, pharmaceutical GMPs (21 CFR 210 and 211), USP, and ISO regulations.
- A proactive approach to maintaining open communication with stakeholders to ensure exceptional customer satisfaction.
- Ability to autonomously plan and prioritize a diverse workload with minimal supervision.
