Essential Functions:
- Follow SOPs and instructions from supervisors and engineers to perform daily tasks and support projects in the organization.
- Perform incoming materials quality test to support the IQC process.
- Execute routine process, quality control measurements and tests
- Work with standard or in-house testing methods using equipment such as universal testing systems, particle size distribution, optical microscope, metallograph process (includes precision cutting, mounting, and polishing), calipers, moisture analyzing scale, viscosity meter, pH meter, high temperature kiln, baking oven, manual dry pressing machine.
- Manually prepare testing samples of mechanical, electrical, materials tests for quality, process, product, or engineering evaluations.
- Interpret and input data from experiments and tests and assist in maintaining databases or data sheets in the laboratory. Fabricate accurate test reports, alerts, or notices.
- Support data collection, observation of ceramic processes and in-process/final products to contain failure or even provide chance of improvement.
- Provide input for continued improvement to lab operational procedures, management, and safety.
- Assist in maintaining inventory of lab supplies, standard samples, chemicals, fixtures, and safety equipment.
- Enforce 6S standards.
- Education and Certification: Minimum High School Diploma or GED; some college
- Detailed oriented personality, working with accuracy and precision. Possessing strong interpersonal and communication skills would be necessary.
- Fluency in documentation by using Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook), PDF.
- Comfortable with wearing PPE for working with powder, chemicals, resin, high temperature kilns.
- Be able to work overtime as needed.
- Be able to move 30 lbs.
- Experience with universal test systems (e.g., Instron) would be a bonus.

Salary: Hourly non-exempt $24.00-$26.00/hr
Hours: Flexibe 10 to 20 hours per week
