Lab Technician

Job Description:
Our client is seeking a Lab Technician for 1st shift (6 a.m. -2 p.m.) and 2nd shift (11 a.m. - 7 p.m.) at their facility in Essington, PA.
The Lab Tech/ Synthesis Operator should have broad knowledge of manufacturing processes and an awareness of quality control. They must be able to follow instructions consistently, keep accurate records of production activities, make suggestions and implement solutions in a hands-on manufacturing environment. The Synthesis Operator functions in cross-departmental teams, including R&D, Sales, etc., where team members are encouraged to provide ideas for process improvements and new products. He/she works closely with Production Operators and needs the ability to multi-task within a defined focus of responsibilities. Excellent communication skills and attention to detail are required as the Synthesis Operator is responsible for completing each production process from preparation to cleanup.
Requirements:
- assist in planning, synthesis, processing, and testing of products.
- bachelor degree is science/chemistry field or similar work experience
- Problem Solving: Active participation and involvement in problem/solution activities.
- Attention to Detail: Follows detailed procedures and ensures accuracy in documentation and data; carefully monitors gages, instruments of process; ensures concentration on routine work details.
- be comfortable in a hands on manufacturing/ lab environment
- must follow PPE dress code (will be provided)
- Quality of Work: Maintains high standards despite pressing deadlines; does work right the first time; corrects own errors, regularly produces accurate, thorough, professional work.
