Lab Technician

This position will be located in Wampum, PA

Summary

The QA Lab Technician receives, tests and analyzes production samples and raw materials as well as supporting other activities pertaining to Vesuvius Penn’s quality control programs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collect, label and test production samples and raw materials according to written test procedures
• Conduct quality inspection of finished goods
• Setup and calibrate equipment to ensure accurate testing
• Provide administrative support for the Quality program
• Assist with documenting written Work Instructions and Standard Operating Procedures
• Conduct internal audits

• High School Diploma
• MS Office computer skills
• Must have rudimentary math skills.
• Verbal and written communications skills
• Ability to work in a safe manner
• Ability to interpret and understand technical documents
• Ability to work in an industrial manufacturing environment
• Ability to travel regionally
• Valid PA drivers’ license and reliable transportation

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit; stand, walk, use hands to operate computer equipment, and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms. The work environment has temperature extremes and moderate to high noise level. Regional travel is required occasionally.
