Lab Tech/Front Desk Receptionist

Front Desk Receptionist/ Lab Tech needed for busy family practice. The perfect candidate we are looking for is someone that has an outgoing, professional personality. This person is the first impression of the office. We are looking for someone with a positive attitude and who wants to work. This person must be reliable. With this position, you will have positive and negative interactions with patients. We want this person to be able to remain calm and treat the patient with the best customer service possible.

Paid time off is available after 90 day probationary period. The paid time off is accrued with each pay period based on the number of years with the practice.

This position is paid biweekly.

Monday through Thursday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm

Friday 8:00 am to 4:00 pm

The office is closed 12:00 to 1:30. Lunch is 12:00 to 12:30.

Duties include, but not limited to:

• Answering the phone
• Greeting patients
• Accepting payments
• Collecting past due balances.
• Scheduling appointments
• Data entry
• Retrieving messages from the prescription request voicemail box and relaying messages to back office accurately
• Verifying medical insurance and explaining copays and deductibles to the patients
• Scanning and filing documents in EHR system
• Conflict resolution
• Maintain and balance cash drawer daily
• Work as a team member
• Be willing to cross train in other positions
• Experience in a medical office is required
• High school diploma or higher required
• Confirming appointments for the next day
• Perform in house lab tests, such as A1Cs, COVID, Flu, Strep, etc.
• Enter the values of tests mentioned above into the EHR system
• Learn quality control measures for the lab
• Phlebotomy
• Preparing samples for pick up from labs
• Be willing to work in either position depending on the needs of the office on any given day
• Calling patients with lab results when instructed by a physician
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
