As Research Lab Tech at PPD you perform nontechnical lab procedures per protocol and ensure the orderly flow of procedures within the Lab. Summarized Purpose: Performs laboratory procedures such as blood harvesting and urine monitoring according to protocol as assigned. Works with coordinators in assuring the smooth and orderly flow of procedures in the Clinics, Lab, and Urine Monitoring areas. Essential Functions: - Collects and harvest plasma, serum, and all other required laboratory specimens according to protocol specifications. - Monitors the collection of urine and/or fecal specimens from subjects participating in studies. - Completes all required study documents and might need to be trained on special equipment per protocol. - Assures that all procedures and processing areas are maintained in a neat, clean, and organized manner. - Performs other duties as assigned. Education and Experience: High / Secondary school diploma or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualification technical positions may require a certificate Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 0 to 1 year). In some cases, an equivalency, consisting of a combination of appropriate education, training and/or directly related experience, will be considered sufficient for an individual to meet the requirements of the role.
