We are currently hiring for a HPLC Service Engineer/Lab Technician in the Sarasota, FL area for our partner client.
Overview:
We are currently seeking a skilled HPLC Service Engineer/Lab Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will have at least 3 years of prior experience in analytical chemistry, particularly with expertise in HPLC (High Performance Liquid Chromatography). This role will primarily involve troubleshooting and maintaining HPLC equipment to ensure accurate and reliable results in our laboratory. This facility has one HPLC machine and would need help in getting operational to run tests daily. Proficiency with mechanical tools and a quick learning aptitude are essential for success in this position.We are open to alternative job titles such as Chemist, Scientist, etc, if you have worked multiple years with troubleshooting HPLC machines.
We are currently having to send our cultures out to be tested by other companies which often takes up to two weeks. This new role will allow us to run tests in house eliminating the time delay.
While this role is located in Sarasota, Florida, we are open to candidates willing to travel onsite at a TBD schedule. Travel accommodations will be provided in this scenario.
Responsibilities:
Conduct analytical testing using HPLC techniques to analyze samples in accordance with established protocols.
Troubleshoot and perform routine maintenance on HPLC equipment to ensure optimal performance and accuracy of results.
Assist in the development and validation of analytical methods as required.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support research and development initiatives.
Document experimental procedures, results, and observations following company guidelines.
Provide training and guidance to junior staff members on analytical techniques and equipment operation.
Maintain a safe and organized laboratory environment.
Requirements:
Have previously operated HPLC machines in multiple labs or facilities.
Bachelor’s or Masters Degree in Life Sciences, Chemistry, or a related field. (Equivalent work experience will be considered in lieu of degree)
Minimum of 3 years of prior experience in analytical chemistry, with a focus on HPLC.
Direct experience troubleshooting and maintaining HPLC equipment is essential.
Hands-on experience with mechanical tools and equipment.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Adaptability and eagerness to learn new techniques and technologies.
Proficiency in Mandarin is preferred (Not Required)
