Job Description:
The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for a variety of skilled maintenance, repair and troubleshooting tasks, in and about facilities and manufacturing equipment.
Essential Functions:
The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for a variety of skilled maintenance, repair and troubleshooting tasks, in and about facilities and manufacturing equipment.
Essential Functions:
- Diagnose problems and determine the extent of repairs or adjustments needed for equipment, Maintain, adjust, repair, rebuild and overhaul equipment
- Enters repair orders and keep maintenance records of time spent, materials and parts used and type of work performed in automated system.
- Organizes, cleans and maintains workshop area
- Familiar with hands and power tools
- Able to read and understand maintenance and specification manuals
- Follow oral and written instructions
- Capable of preparing work orders and records of service performed
- Communicate and work effectively with all associates
- Physical dexterity and ability to perform preventive maintenance on complex equipment
- Able to perform all duties of a mechanics helper without supervision.
- Standing -Entire shift
- Lifting up to 50 lbs.-Regularly
- Noise typical of a production environment- Entire shift
- Working around moving equipment-Regularly
- Working in hot/cold temperatures-Regularly.
- Steel Toed Shoes.
- Due to onsite safety all candidates must fluent and able to read and write in either English or Spanish.
