Senior Marketing Manager
Boulder, CO (full-time) | Travel 10-15% | Reports directly to the President of KJUS
Main tasks
- Work in close collaboration with the President to understand the global vision and strategy of KJUS and create a clear Marketing Plan for the brand.
- Manage Marketing Department and define processes to institute the President's vision and strategy throughout all marketing avenues globally and across all three categories of ski, golf, and lifestyle.
- Work with Product Engineer Team and Product Line Manager to learn and understand upcoming collections, innovations, and products.
- Create GTM plan for collections, innovations, and products and lead team with clear direction to effectively execute, always in-line with company's mission and target consumer.
- Manage Marketing Team with the ultimate responsibility of successful alignment and timely execution of the below outlined items.
Sr. Marketing Manager Responsibility
- Managerial (10%)
- Develop and maintain on-boarding and training plans that create a strong sense of community within Marketing Department
- Lead regular meetings with marketing team members to meet marketing deadlines and set department tonality.
- Consistently represent brand messaging including target consumer to the Marketing Team
- Conduct regular performance reviews and set goals for marketing team members.
- Manage the marketing team to establish and grow effective relationships with key partners and key industry leaders.
- International (10%)
- Lead global marketing efforts and bridge communication between all regions for brand consistency.
- Coordinate with non-U.S. associates so they receive support to implement marketing plan and GTM strategies.
- Support marketing needs for EU market (KJUS branded stores, shop displays, POS, campaigns, media buys, etc.)
- Budgets (5%)
- Responsible for creating and updating global marketing budget to meet the company initiatives for President's review and approval.
- Manage spending and approve invoices of Marketing Department to stay within budget.
- Select and coordinate with agencies as necessary to support projects within budget guidelines, defaulting to in-house options when possible.
Team Delegation Responsibility
- DTC (15%)
- Coordinate with e-commerce team for successful launches and a consistent and accurate global brand messaging to the target consumer.
- Photograph and video products for website and product launches at sales meetings including file naming and organization.
- Create technology icons and assist in creating website branding tools.
- Organize and order branded products to support DTC initiatives.
- Create seasonal B2C mail-order catalogs in print and digital format and organize mass mailers to distribute catalogs to end consumers.
- Support retail operations in analyzing markets and ensuring branding, promotions, events, campaigns, etc. are consistent with marketing activities and cadence.
- B2B and Sales Team Support (15%)
- Create seasonal B2B workbook in coordination with product teams and systems manager.
- Create B2B Tournament and Corporate Catalogs in collaboration with sales and inventory managers.
- Manage all aspects of trade shows and coordinate with exhibitor company on design, logistics, budgets, timeline, setup, and tear down.
- Oversee grassroots seeding program to include family-style seeding approach and celebrity seeding initiatives including fulfilling sales requests and tracking.
- Provide consistent branding and support of sales team with sell-in tools, event support tools, and sell-out tools.
- Manage retail partner co-operative marketing program including tracking of co-op marketing budgets and management of co-op projects.
- Digital and Print Media (15%)
- Manage all social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, etc.) using third party platforms to schedule posts and track social campaigns and make adjustments to grow followers organically.
- Create and schedule email B2C newsletters in global market, monitor results and consistently maintain email database.
- Create layout and graphics for ads, print media, fliers, trade show booths, technology icons, etc.
- Create creative content for catalogs, newsletters, website, social, PR editorial and corporate communication for all internal and external marketing channels.
- Media and Content Creation (15%)
- Manage all Public Relations and Media Communication including tracking of marketing samples and requests.
- Proactively communicate new collections, innovations, and products as well as campaigns to media
- Create content to support all internal and external GTM channels (i.e. product descriptions for e-commerce, workbooks, DTC catalogs, newsletters, website, social, PR editorial, corporate communication, etc.)
- Keep Brand Guidelines and Brand Book current and create corresponding brand decks for media.
- Work with freelance translator and translation companies so that copywrite is applicable to local markets (German and eventually French)
- Branding Tools (10%)
- Lead conception, merchandising, planning and execution of photo and video shoots (on snow capability required)
- Organize and prepare action photo shoot location, models, merchandising, samples, and coordinate with photographer on budget and branding and concept.
- Select hero images and coordinate with photographer and post-graphic team to complete necessary assets.
- Sponsorships and Athletes (5%)
- Receive and discuss brand alignment of all professional athlete sponsorship and ambassador requests.
- Work with agents and athletes to meet their requirements and product customization needs.
- Arrange product testing and coordinate feedback for Product Engineer Team
Salary: Range $103,900-129,900 plus bonus eligibility
Your profile:
- Bachelor's Degree (master's a plus) and min. 7 years of experience in marketing management role
- Proficient computer skills (MS Office, Outlook, Adobe Creative Suite); Netsuite and RepSpark a plus
- Knowledge of ski and golf required.
