We are looking for hard working and detail oriented Assistant Kitchen Managers and Kitchen Managers to supervise daily back of house restaurant operations for our thriving concepts. The Kitchen Manager responsibilities include but are not limited to inventory management, supervising the food prep and cooking procedures to ensure accuracy, maintaining and complying with safety and cleanliness standards, as well as the ability to grown and build a high performing staff. Responsibilities
- Manage kitchen inventory and ordering.
- Supervise food prep and cooking.
- Check food plating and temperature.
- Establish portion sizes.
- Schedule kitchen staff shifts.
- Price menu items in collaboration with the Culinary Director.
- Order food supplies and kitchen equipment, as needed
- Train kitchen staff on prep work and food plating techniques
- Store food products in compliance with safety practices (e.g. in refrigerators)
- Keep weekly and monthly cost reports
- Maintain sanitation and safety standards in the kitchen area
Qualifications
- 3+ years of proven work experience as an Assistant Kitchen Manager, Kitchen Manager, or Executive Chef with volume exceeding 1 million dollars.
- 2+ years of culinary experience
- Hands-on experience with menu creation.
- Vast knowledge of classic food recipes.
- Familiarity with kitchen sanitation and safety regulations.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to manage a team in a fast-paced work environment.
- Flexibility to work during evenings and weekends.
- Culinary School certification preferred
