As a Kitchen Manager your goal is to possess a positive leadership role with BOH team and control food and labor costs. You will work closely with both the Director of Operations and Sous Chef.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Monitor BOH shift scheduling, control food and labor costs and initiate corrective plans as needed
- Recruit, hire and train efficient BOH staff who like a fast paced team environment
- Schedule employees to ensure shifts have proper coverage with no overtime
- Target goal for labor costs = 29%
- Target goal for food costs = 28%
- Enforce food handling regulations and other guidelines to increase guest safety
- Minimize waste
- Complete necessary paperwork...inventory, order guides and staff attendance reports
Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in the food service industry, preferably in a leadership role
- Strong knowledge of food handling, production, and kitchen management
- Proven track record of successfully managing a team and achieving business targets
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire staff members
- Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on creating a positive dining experience
- Proficient in inventory control and cost management techniques
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
The Kitchen Lead is responsible for overseeing aspects of BOH operations. This includes managing staff, ensuring high-quality food and service standards, implementing strategies for revenue growth, and maintaining a safe working environment. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in the food service industry, strong leadership skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional hospitality.
