Job Description
Summary:
Create, implement and manage profitable growth within the Truckstops Key Accounts. Communicate Truckstop strategies through regional channel, and strategic account personnel and cross functional areas. Individually manage each Truckstop account strategy to support the overall Continental Tires North America business units' profitability targets. Coach regional Territory Sales Representatives to interface with Truckstop accounts in their territories and ensure the individual customer strategies are adhered to and supported on a regional level.
Essential Functions:
Manage Truckstop Key Accounts, increasing Continentals share of target Truckstop business and then managing each Key Account individually as a mini business to ensure profitable growth, by growing sales volume, improving price positioning, improving product mix, and managing both fixed and variable expenses
Ensure that Truckstops Key Account strategies and objectives are supported at business unit levels by both Continental personnel and selected customers
Act as a liaison between the national account business and the Truckstop companies to ensure that service levels are being met and product is available for our national account customer so that their needs have been met during all over the road service request.
Individually act as business advisor with your allocated Truckstop Key Accounts to add value to their organization, through a win/win relationship, ultimately increasing the revenue and profitability of the CTA organization.
Individually manage agreed operational KPI's e.g. expenses, Trukfix success rate, FC, stock levels, fill rates, tire performance tracking etc, for each of your Key Accounts to support the CTA strategies.
Manage contract processes in close coordination with legal department to ensure all compliance issues are properly maintained in regard to government and private regulations.
Additional Functions:
Collectively support the marketing department by obtaining competitive information to support the development of strategic initiatives as well as event planning, promotions etc
Collectively act as strategic sales representatives for the field sales organizations with respect to the PPT process, 5 year planning process, etc.
Collectively manage the Truckstop accounts pricing strategy and individually implement this strategy to your individual accounts.
- Must be willing to relocate based on territory needs. Up to 50% travel within the US.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Ability to comply physical demands, such as lifting, walking, sitting, squatting, and climbing around commercial vehicles. Lifting up to
- 100 pounds occasionally, including rolling, moving, or stacking.
Qualifications
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree plus 3+ years of sales experience, OR 6+ years of sales experience if no Bachelor's Degree
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, such as Excel and PowerPoint
- Analytical Mindset
- Self-starter/goal oriented
- Must have a high degree of comfort with digital technology, including software devices and programs
- Ability to travel up to 50% within the US
- Must have a valid driver's license.
