The opportunity
The IDN Key Account Manager will identify, develop and maintain relationships with strategically important IDNs/Institutions, thought leaders and key influencers in assigned territory. KAM's will be responsible for developing opportunities within IDN and institutional markets for Teva generic injectables, biosimilars, complex generics and targeted Teva brand products to meet and exceed assigned sales goals. The IDN KAM is responsible for working GPO contract compliance to increase pull through sales, identifying additional contract opportunities and reporting market intelligence. The KAM's will also be responsible for developing long-term relationships with IDN accounts while collaborating with various internal strategic partners such as: Sales, Marketing, MOL's, RAM's, Brand Team, Finance, National Accounts and Pricing/Contract teams.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
• Key Account Managers are responsible for executing the strategy to attain sales goals and quotas of the Commercial group within their individual assigned regions
• Have a working knowledge of generic, biosimilar and brand pharmaceutical industry, contracting, distribution/wholesaler channels, pricing structures, chargeback programs, institutional sales, group purchasing organizations (GPOs) and Integrated Delivery Networks (IDNs)
• Understand formulary and P&T processes for assigned IDN's and key institutions to assist in gaining formulary access for targeted Teva products
• Penetrate assigned IDN's and institutions to the highest levels to build relationships necessary to achieve desired objectives
• Analyze region as a business unit with the aid of Teva provided resources-including being able to build and present a quarterly business review
• Work cohesively with members of the National Account team, Marketing, and Management in order to achieve distribution and sales objectives
• Represent and promote Teva's products and image in a professional, productive manner while adhering to Teva compliance, aggregate spend, travel policies and guidelines.
• Record account information and competitive intelligence through available resources
• Create reports/updates in Excel, Word, Power Point, SAP, and Microsoft Outlook
Territory includes: Pittsburgh, Philadelphia and some parts of upstate NY
Your experience and qualifications
Position Requirements
• Bachelor's degree
• Minimum of 5+ years in pharmaceutical sales and/or hospital sales
• Experience working in teams
• History of superior sales results and strong business acumen
Preferred Requirements
• Master's degree
• Experience in institutional, IDN account management or generic injectable pharmaceutical sales
• People management and/or home office experience
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
Up to 50% Travel is required
