The Key Account Manager / National Account Manager is responsible for building relationships and developing plans to increase sales and profitability for through targeted accounts.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Drive sales by creating, executing and communicating strategic business plans to grow sales through target accounts, specialist teams, and corp. office personnel. Monitor actual results vs. the plan throughout the year, adjusting when appropriate.
- Ensure effective implementation of National Account programs and promotions.
- Strategically plan customer visits to cultivate relationships, perform presentations, offer innovative programs and communicate plans. Create opportunities for the account to grow their relationship and business with TTI Floorcare NA. Present reports to the accounts which show sales tracking, risks, and areas of opportunity.
- Participate in local, National, and National trade associations and conferences. When necessary direct activities of the show (set up/tear down, schedule field sales support, activities).
- Team with other individuals within National Accounts, Field Sales, or other corporate personnel to create account plans, pricing, and aid drive sales. Recommend opportunities for increased sales, based on knowledge of accounts.
- Position self as a resource and leader with the field sales organization assisting them in implementing the National Accounts business plans.
- Negotiate end user contracts and programs consistent with management goals.
- Communicate all national account programs and promotions with field sales throughout the US, Canada, Mexico and Caribbean.
- Contribute to the product development process to create innovative products which meet end user needs.
- Deliver accurate sales forecasts for accounts on a regular basis.
- Act as a liaison between account and internal departments. Resolve all problems when needed by involving the appropriate departments and create interdepartmental relationships between the accounts and TTI Floorcare NA internal departments.
Education and Experience Requirements
- Frequent travel required.
- Bachelor's degree in sales, marketing, or business administration.
- 1-3 years' experience in sales, prior experience in National Account Sales Management or Job Site Solutions team preferred.
- Experience managing customers with complex objectives and strategies.
- Prior sales experience in floorcare products.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software programs.
