West Tennessee K9 Dog Training and Rehabilitation is a dog training business dedicated to helping both dogs, and their owners navigate the challenges of life. Dog training is more than teaching a dog to sit, stay, lay down, and come. Dog training is about leadership and relationship. We keep everything super simple and easy to understand. Our primary goal is to help people and by doing this, we help dogs.
We are looking for the right person to join our team. We are the fastest growing, leading dog training facility in the mid-south. We pride ourselves in maintaining a clean, safe, calm, quiet, peaceful environment for the dogs, clients, and staff.
Our hours of operation are between 7:30am-6pm M-F with some weekend hours as well.
We are looking for some weekday hours 7:30am-11am and 3pm-6pm with weekend availability as well.
Some holidays have to be worked, however we do provide holiday pay.
Summary of Essential Job Functions:
· Responsible for daily dog let out
· Responsible for feeding
· Cleaning kennels
· Cleaning and maintaining outside runs
· Cleaning training areas
· General cleaning of the facility as a whole
· Some dog bathing
· Some grooming such as brushing and nail trims
· Helping assist the dog trainers in the training process
· This position will transition into a dog trainer role
Requirements to Succeed:
· Reliable transportation
· Weekend availability
· Flexible schedule
· Willing to follow protocols and procedures
· Being able to closely follow schedules
· Must have a positive attitude and calm nature
