Job Description

Southern Oasis Pet Resort & Spa of Clinton is a new kennel located in the heart of Clinton, Maryland. Our Kennel Attendants ensure our pet guests have happy and healthy stays. We are seeking professional animal lovers dedicated to providing the care and compassion that pets deserve. The selected candidate will be punctual, compassionate, self-motivated with a positive attitude and be able to work well with other team members.

Duties include, but not limited to:

• Keeping runs and cages clean throughout the shift
• Scooping dog waste immediately and disposing of it as instructed.
• Feeding pets according to owner instructions
• Keeping water bowls full
• Following laundry procedures
• Keeping facility floors and yards clean
• Supervising dogs’ interactions and play when outside
• Engaging in play activities and exercise with the animals
• Bathing animals as instructed
• Ensuring proper pet identification is in place
• Documenting care appropriately
• Following safety procedures
• Greeting customers with a warm smile and friendly demeanor
• Answering phones as needed
• Assisting other Animal Technicians as needed.

Compensation starts at $15.00, depending on experience. The pay will increase after probationary period. We believe in rewarding employees based on how well they excel at their position. This not only includes doing your job correctly, but the ability to work in a Team Environment successfully.

All training will be provided. Previous experience preferred but not required. Must be 18 years of age or older. Must be responsible, have reliable transportation and no allergies to dogs. Must be comfortable as well as physically fit to handle small and large dogs, groups of dogs, and standing on your feet for long periods of time. This position requires availability from 6:00am to 7:00pm. You must be available to work on holidays.
