Warehouse Inventory Specialist

The Inventory Specialist will monitor the physical inventory accuracy as well as the software system’s accuracy. They are the main point of contact when inventory problems arise. The Inventory Specialist is responsible for maintaining inventory control through daily cycle counts, resolving inventory issues, and ensuring that inventory discrepancies are researched and resolved. They will identify inventory control process issues and work closely with the Inventory Control manager, the Warehouse Manager and Supervisors to implement process improvements.
The position of Inventory Specialist will work directly with the Inventory Manager, the Warehouse Manager and support our two warehouse facilities as they rapidly increase their inventory volumes. They will monitor receiving accuracy on inbound shipments, daily warehouse moves and order confirmations and cycle counting.
Responsibilities:
· Prepare cycle count inventories using Company inventory software. Conduct cycle counts and resolve inventory discrepancies. Address root causes of inaccuracies as they are identified.
· Ensure inbound shipments match purchase orders. Process deliveries correctly using proper receiving documentation.
· Enter received items into the inventory management software with high accuracy.
· Spot check pulled orders for accuracy, completeness, and quality condition of orders prepared for shipment.
· Load pallets as needed onto freight vehicles. Prepare and process all shipping paperwork.
· Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. 2 to 3 years minimum previous experience in a similar environment. Experience managing physical inventory of parts in a warehouse environment, including cycle counts and total physical inventories. Proficient with MS Office Suite and inventory software such as NetSuite and RF Smart. Experience operating a forklift and pallet jack with the ability to be licensed on forklift operation. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs more than once per day. Ability to work safely with heavy loads and with multi-tier shelving. A history of safe work performance. Ability to be self-directed and work well in a team environment. Skilled at problem-solving, attention to detail and determining the root cause of an issue. The following would be a plus: Certifications as an Inventory Specialist or Supply Chain Management specialist. Certification in international shipping. Experience with Electric Vehicles or EV charging. Experience in the automotive, landscaping, construction or farming industries.
