The successful Jr Software Developer applicant will work with members of our development team to revolutionize the customer experience in the utility industry.

Essential Job Duties:
- Participate in requirements definition, analysis, design, implementation, debugging, testing, and optimization of computer programs on workstations.
- Contribute to completing technical projects/organizational objectives on multidisciplinary teams
- Assist in the design, implementation, and deployment of software systems using standard analysis, design, and programming techniques.
- Determines solution approach to client requirements.
- Develops detailed system design specifications to serve as a guide for system/program development.
- Analyzes requirements and develops modules with keeping the future in mind.
- Design, run and monitor software performance tests on new and existing programs to correct errors, isolate areas for improvement, and general debugging.
- Able to communicate effectively with non-technical staff and with members of interdisciplinary teams.
- 3+ years of experience with most of the components of our stack: Python (is a must) MySQL, AWS (Aurora, Dynamo, EC2, CodeBuild), Flask
- Experience in the development and consumption of microservices and APIs.
- Experience working with data normalization and ETL systems.
- Understanding and some experience designing and building client/server, multi-user and multi-tenant architectures.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with containers and orchestration.
- Familiarity with Linux/Unix systems.
- Familiarity with the Agile methodology.
- Strong verbal and communication skills.
