We are looking for a junior Web/PWA Developer to build and maintain functional web pages and progressive web applications. To be successful in this position, the developer shall have some knowledge of all current website technologies and languages, which include, but are not limited to, JavaScript, Hypertext Mark-up Language (HTML), CSS, and ReactJS. Additionally, the developer shall have experience with responsive web technologies and interfaces to ensure that websites optimally render on both traditional computing hardware (e.g., desktop and laptop computers) as well as mobile devices (e.g., smartphones and tablets).
What You Will Do:
• As a Junior Web/PWA Developer focusing on Progressive Web Applications development, you will:
o Deliver new applications that are intuitive and feel natural for users.
o Provide updates and maintenance for existing applications.
o Ensure software documentation is updated
o Assist in defining requirements, development and maintenance projects
o Work in an Agile environment with a multi-dimensional team of developers, UX designers, PMs and testers
o Work with team to ensure Team Velocity is where it needs to be on the project.
Basic Skills & Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience/education/training).
• Ability to obtain the necessary security clearance required by passing a federal background check.
• 1-2 years of experience in responsive web application development (both front-end and back-end is a bonus)
• 1-2 years of experience with Languages - JavaScript, Typescript, SQL, PHP, HTML5, CSS
• 1 year of experience with one or more of the following frameworks: ReactJS, Redux, Maria DB, Symfony, Laravel
• 1-2 years of experience utilizing agile methodologies through all phases of software development lifecycles.
• 1-2 years of experience using GIT, using GIT repositories, and utilizing GIT best practices
• Experience in Software - NodeJS, Azure, Redhat, Apache is a plus
• Experience with Jira, Trello, Confluence and/or Bitbucket is a plus
Desired Skills & Qualifications:
• CompTIA Security+ Certification a plus
• DoD experience is a plus but not required
• Experience or knowledge within healthcare or military is a plus
• Ability to work and communicate effectively in a telework environment
• Ability to write clean code and document your work effectively
• Ability to analyze requirements to produce a realistic level of effort
• Ability to design effective software architectures for large development projects
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Ability to take direction and follow instructions.
• Ability to organize, prioritize and multi-task to meet deadlines.
• Strong communication skills (both written and verbal) are required.
• Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Pay Transparency
Maximus compensation is based on various factors including but not limited to job location, a candidate's education, training, experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value analysis including seniority and merit systems, as well as internal pay alignment. Annual salary is just one component of Maximus's total compensation package. Other rewards may include short- and long-term incentives as well as program-specific awards.
