Job Summary:

Raftelis is searching for an intern to join our Data Services Team. This paid internship includes 20-30 hours per week this spring semester. We are flexible with the time/day and number of hours depending on the intern's schedule. This internship will conclude at the end of the spring semester with the possibility of continuing through summer 2024, and potentially full-time employment.

Working with a team of developers, the Junior Software Developer will be responsible for partnering with consultants providing data analysis, utilizing programming capabilities, and delivering software expertise in support of their on-going projects.

This position is based in Raftelis' Bellingham office. This is not a remote position. The hybrid work schedule is one day in the office. The rate of pay is $20-25 per hour depending on experience.

Primary Responsibilities:

Provide programming expertise, data analysis, and consulting services for water, wastewater, stormwater utility, and local government clients

Assist developers with identifying client needs, gathering requirements, designing, implementing, and maintaining software

Develop web and desktop relational database analytical tools

Requirements:

Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in computer science, data science, mathematics, or technology-related field

Proficiency with object oriented programming languages, preferably C#

Proficiency with relational databases such as SQL Server, Oracle, and MySQL

Strong analytical skills, including statistics

Excellent written skills including reporting of analytical results

Excellent oral communication skills including presenting analytical results to clients or stakeholders

Familiarity with version control systems such as Git

Ability to work within a compact team that may be spread across a broad geography

Willingness to travel overnight for project and job functions

Preferences:

Web design and development skills including HTML, JavaScript, and CSS
