As a Junior Maintenance Worker, you will be assisting technicians and engineers in a variety of mechanical and electrical tasks. You will be working around a large water tank, so safety and attention to detail is extremely important. Communication with your immediate supervisor daily is imperative, regarding work schedule, safety issues, repairs, etc. A clean driving record is needed as well as passing a drug and background check. Under immediate supervision, you will work on a variety of straightforward jobs including but not limited to heavy lifting, (moving furniture, equipment, and materials), operating a forklift, building maintenance and upkeep and other outside functions such as pressure washing, weed whacking, and snow plowing. Responsibilities will include driving various work-related vehicles and servicing them; working from portable and stationary ladders; working with various petroleum and chemical products, e.g., transferring liquids to and from storage tanks and assisting with water treatment testing.
Qualifications
- High School graduate plus experience maintaining equipment (completing basic repairs, and working with hand and machine tools)
- 0 - 1 year of experience
- Basic computer proficiency is required
