Our firm is hiring a Junior Designer who has an Interior Design degree with a minimum of 2 years of experience. The candidate will support our team to design and manage custom build projects, large renovations as well as assist in developing full home interiors from project conceptualization through furnishings installation.
Description:
- Support the Design Team and Principal in preparation of floor, space and furniture plans and elevations in AutoCAD and 3D renderings that communicate design intent.
- Assist the Principal and Team with various design and administrative tasks on large, long-term residential and new construction/remodel projects with high-end clientele from concept through installation.
- Maintain constant communication with Principal, design team, vendors and clients regarding project timelines and orders to assure on time completion.
- Assist with presentations to clients, creating the design concept, expediting, sourcing, creation of contracts and client communication, liaising with vendors throughout the ordering process and installing the project.
- Gather detailed information and quotes for preparation of accurate design proposals. Create and prepare proposals for client submission.
- Prepare and submit purchase orders to vendors
- Support the Design Team in preparation and maintenance of interior design plan documents such as finish schedules, specifications, templates and shop drawings.
- Contribute to the selection of materials, finishes, furniture, and fixtures for interior spaces.
- Comfortable managing multiple projects at the same time and be skilled in managing his/her schedule. Must be fast and work efficiently under pressure.
- Manage contractors, coordinate & oversee installations.
- Attend site visits to communicate and oversee design intent.
Job Requirements:
- Degree in Interior Design or related field
- Minimum 2 years of experience in high-end residential interior design.
- Ability to apply, and demonstrate, color theory concepts as well as interior design principles and techniques to create cohesive and aesthetically pleasing interior designs
- Must be energetic, proactive, detail oriented, very organized, client savvy and able to work independently as well as collaborate with the team.
- Highly proficient, with ability to demonstrate, in AutoCAD, Sketchup, Adobe Photoshop and Canva. Knowledge of Studio Designer and Google Suite.
