DLR Group's Design team has an opening for a Junior Designer - Interiors in our Dallasoffice. We operate within a hybrid work model, supporting flexibility between office time and work from home.
Position Summary:
In this role you will be responsible for collaborating on the design of projects from pre-design and programming through construction administration on projects ranging in size and complexity. Your role and responsibilities will vary from project-to-project, including, but not limited to, developing comprehensive project palettes of materials and finishes, preparing 3D renderings and presentation drawings, and generating interior finish drawings and details, all the while maintaining an awareness of project scope, schedule, fee, and budget. Additionally, you will work collaboratively with clients, contractors, vendors and other DLR Group team members to deliver projects.

The successful candidate will:
- Prepare and develop with the team, as required, drawings, models, images, material & mood boards and other documents relating to the design.
- Have strong client and time management skills.
- Possess excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Take responsibility for the development of the design and the project with input from the Principal in Charge and/or the Design Leader for key project stages.
- Have strong creative design and drawing skills, graphic and oral design presentation skills, capacity for conceptual design thinking, and 3D design/modeling ability.
- Will gain thorough knowledge of and compliance with DLR Group standards.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture from an accredited program
- 2-5 years of design experience designing commercial interior projects
- Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office suite
- The ability to travel occasionally to support project tasks.
- Ability to work both independently and effectively in a cross-discipliary team atmosphere and across multiple offices
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency with Revit, Enscape, Adobe Suite, SketchUp and 3D Max/V-Ray
- Have interest in sustainable building design
