Paradisa Homes, LLC is an Austin-based home builder focused on high-quality, modern, custom, and spec building within the Austin area. Established in 2011, the organization has completed several hundred residential structures and is known for its full-service approach centered on a tight-knit team of administrative, real estate, architectural, design, and construction professionals. Typical residential projects range in size from 2,000-10,000 sq. ft. and are targeted towards 1.5M - 16.0M+ price bracket.
We are seeking a Junior Interior Designer to help with the full scope of our residential design process and to work directly with our established Interior Design team. This person would work directly with the Senior Designer to design, develop, and document creative and high-quality spaces that influence users directly.
This position will involve the collaboration and creation of client-forward spaces that align with individual needs, aesthetics, and lifestyles. Day-to-day responsibilities include the selection of materials and finishes as well as compiling presentations and upkeep of project design documentation. It will also facilitate the appropriate communication for project signoffs, the retrieval of quotes from suppliers, and sub-contractor-related design meetings and communications.
Basic Requirements
- Experience generating specification documentation and creating detailed elevations, reflected ceiling plans and other items that need clarification.
- Proficiency in AutoCad and familiarity with spreadsheets, Bluebeam, and Dropbox for use in organization. Photoshop and SketchUp skills a plus.
- Well-developed interpersonal skills, supportive of a client base with varied backgrounds.
- Highly effective written and verbal communication skills.
- A detail-oriented outlook with an aptitude for organization and time management.
- Bachelor’s degree related to Design.
- A collaborative mindset. You must be willing to work as a team in a very fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable with jobsite-visits with our construction team and installers to ensure accuracy of installation in the field.
- A friendly, approachable personality, with a positive attitude and good listening skills, supportive of quality customer service.
