We are a high-end furniture showroom looking for a Junior Interior Designer who wants to flourish. You will perform a wide variety of administrative functions and oversee projects as assigned by the Lead Interior Designer/Showroom Manager and other Interior Designers. Duties relating to coordination, communications, and documentation. This position will start as a Junior working under our Lead Interior Designer/Showroom Manager with the goal of becoming an Interior Designer. Timeframe subject to experience, DOE.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Good working knowledge of computers, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office programs
- Knowledge in selecting and developing interior finishes, specifications packages, color palettes, and finish boards for clients
- Good knowledge of architectural/interior design concepts, practices, and construction documents, detailing, and practices
- Greets and assists clients on the sales floor and by telephone regarding their interior decor & design needs
- Maintain showroom floor
- Assists with the preparation of detailed working drawings designs plans models and schemes
- Assists with the development of interior concepts based on client vision desire and architectural concept
- Maintains the showroom floor orderly and catalogs, price lists and product pricing updated. Enters inventory information into the appropriate database, including special order items
- Creates, processes, and monitors sales and/or purchase orders for customers' selections and orders, including receiving payments and obtaining credit authorizations. Tracks progress of ordered items and contacts customers upon arrival of the items
- Attends meetings with management and staff to discuss new projects, procedures, and issues, and to participate or lead in cross-training opportunities, usually with a vendor
- Provides assistance to other sales associates in carrying out daily showroom tasks
- Ability to work independently and with a team
- Comfortable working under deadlines in a fast paced, busy, and creative atmosphere
Requirements
- Interior Design Education
- Minimum of 1-year experience as a Junior Interior Designer
- Strong Tech Proficiency and advanced Microsoft 365 skills, including Teams, Office, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and ability to learn other designer software
- Valid driver's license & dependable transportation
- Proficiency with advanced spreadsheets
- Experience and ability to create & maintain various reports for the Designers
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as excellent presentation skills
- Adaptable, personable, and goal-oriented individual, punctual with a strong work ethic and problem-solving skills
- Ability to build relationships with peers and clients
- Must maintain a professional personal appearance
Strongly Preferred
- Project Management experience preferred
- Knowledgeable in Microsoft 365 Dynamics
- Ability and willingness to travel, locally and out-of-state

- Compensation: $55k-65k/year, DOE
- Working hours M-F 9 am – 5 pm, occasionally work flexible hours when needed to meet deadlines including evenings and weekends.

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office/showroom/warehouse environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.
Physical Demands
This is largely a sedentary role; however, filing and organizing will be required. This would require the ability to move items, samples, files, open filing cabinets, access shelving to organize samples, move items, and bend or stand as necessary.
